so why didn’t you pay him more so he would not need to juggle jobs?
- s1artibartfast 5y agoAs long as you can fire them and find a replacement for the same price, why would you ever increase pay? Especially for a worker that is underperforming?
- b20000 5y agomore power to you if you can as easily replace people as you describe.
- isbvhodnvemrwvn 5y agoIt doesn't take much to replace a dead weight.
- strikelaserclaw 5y agoWhy do you think this is the case? Some people can never get enough, i know some people who complain so much that you'd think they were living in the streets but their household income exceeds 500k, it is just a mentality thing.
- b20000 5y agoyou don't know what financial challenges they are facing, so there is no point in arguing that 500K is enough for their household.
- s1artibartfast 5y agoIf 500k/yr isn't enough to meet your household needs, you don't have a financial problem, you have a personal problem.
- b20000 5y agolike I said, none of your business
- s1artibartfast 5y agoTotally agree unless they want to complain about it to me. If a peer or employee tried to sell me a sob story about 500k not being enough I would tell them to hit the road
- b20000 5y agoagain, you have no idea what’s going on with their life or finances. people find themselves in situations all the time they think would never happen. hope you never end up there.
- s1artibartfast 5y agoI don't care what's going on in their life. If I'm ever in a position where I need more than 500k/yr, it will be my problem, not somebody elses.
- setr 5y agoAs a company, if their financial troubles exceed 500k, why is that my problem? Especially if I can get an equivalent resource without the excessive financial troubles for 200k that isn't moonlighting? just because you want money doesn't mean you get money
- brianmcc 5y ago"You're massively underperforming and we can never contact you - have a substantial pay rise" isn't really how these things work...
