Istio has applied to join the CNCF
- daenney 4y agoInteresting. It’s largely believed Google created OpenUsage Commons to retain control of Istio. Ostensibly for trademark management and what not, but probably in reaction to them no longer having control over Kubernetes (CNCF/Linux Foundation are well equipped to handle the same goals as OpenUsage Commons). I wonder what shifted in the internal politics that this happened.
