I like that. When I was a freshman in art school on my first day of painting class my professor said to us something like, "All of you are already artists, now you have to practice art." Changing it from "I must do my studio time so that when i graduate i can become an artist" to "I am already an artist and I am practicing right now" was a big deal for my young and insecure mentality.
Also reminded me of this passage from War of Art...
"What's hard is sitting down to write. Have you experienced a vision of the person you might become, the work you could accomplish, the realized being you were meant to be? Are you a writer who doesn't write, a painter who doesn't paint, an entrepreneur who never starts a venture? Then you know what “Resistance” is."
