I remember this story when it came out originally. One thing I wonder: a 64-year old spine will not take kindly to the kind of pressures experienced in a fighter jet ejection. Even a trained fighter pilot in the prime of their life can sustain serious spinal compression injuries. I'm sure the passenger survived but I doubt he was as healthy as before :(
