I was thinking for the last couple weeks "oh man, now hn has jumped the shark". And as I was reading through some of the comments here, and it occurred to me that while I do keep tabs on the 'new' articles (not trusting the good ones to make their way up) I would only upvote if I thought it was a truly amazing article. I will change my upvoting habits. I believe the system can indeed work. I will upvote a little bit more often on articles that are very pertinent to this group.
