These people aren't blindly going through life, discriminating without a cause. They know damned good and well what they're actually doing and will use the current state of things as justification for why they should continue the trend. In other words, conservatism. And no, it doesn't really matter what they call themselves or who they vote for, because money speaks louder than ballots. Most parents are well aware that their kids aren't inherently special past their genetic connection. But if you can automatically cut 30-70% of the population out of the competition for the opportunities you crave for your own kid, then that works to your benefit.
