I disagree. Overcoming anxiety is important to be able to try solving a question, and talking about your feelings is a good way to overcome them. Sure, this doesn't need to be the case for older kids or uni level textbooks, but I don't see the problem in including this for younger kids who might feel intimidated by math.. And its definitely not as big a deal that they need to ban certain books. I still don't see the relation to race theory at all.
