This is only somewhat related, but it still surprises me that people click on links in personal emails when most links are either useless spam or outright scams, but maybe my experience is different than most. I’d love my email client to not make links clickable at all. If I get an email from any company that says “you need to update X”, it’s always easier (for me) to go to their website or use some standard update process if they utilize one.
