when columbus set a foot in america there were 1000 year old pubs in europe that are still open today.
sometimes it's hard to understand how mind boggingly old europe is, being from the younger continent.
- LB232323 5y agoThe Americas are just as old, it is just that people in their arrogance have chosen to overlook the works and achievements of Mesoamerican civilization. History did not begin with the arrival of the Europeans, that is just when colonization began. The long history of these continents is treated as some sort of lost and mysterious thing of times past, yet the people from those civilizations are still here today. Cage and Glass both understood this and named a number of their works aptly.
