Here is a recent example (with 277 pages of the curricula in question) of what is being pushed in some districts near me - https://christopherrufo.com/radical-gender-lessons-for-young-children/ https://christopherrufo.com/radical-gender-lessons-for-young.... The issues in Florida are almost identical since they're referencing the same curricula, and it's causing a backlash due to Disney coming out in support of it.
- olliej 5y agoAn openly biased, explicitly homophobic source that has personally bragged about misleading Republican voters on what critical race theory, as a source on the “dangerous” stuff being taught to kids? It explicitly harks back to their racist “white people are being attacked” mantra from their crusade against teach the history of America, and then simply attacks teaching kids about anything that is not cis-gendered and heteronormative. Even their cherry-picked to rile up the homophobic and transphobic core of the GOP don’t seem to be wrong or “adult” to me?
- yucky 5y agoI'm confused by this response, so I'll assume the best and guess that perhaps in your emotion you didn't look at the actual source material. It's embedded on that link, and available elsewhere. I would love to link you to a CNN article that embeds the course curricula, but alas - they've chosen not to report on it. So anyway, the source material is the actual curricula. 277 pages of it, all approved for use with 5-8 year olds.
