Hopefully there will be another open day when it shuts down for cleaning. When they did it in 2013, I was fanboying off my head at getting to see the CMS experiment that helped Higgs to a Nobel. Amazing, and then for uber-geek points, getting to see how they powered everything and how the electricity was managed. I mean, the people showing you round are the scientists who run the experiments and there’s nothing they can’t explain. Sorry, bit of a tangent, just excited about this.
