What happens to weapons sent to Ukraine? The US doesn't really know
- mytailorisrich 4y agoThis is a big problem for Europe. The war in Yugoslavia in the 1990s flooded Europe with cheap military weapons. To this day an AK47 costs about 200 euros. Armoured cash trucks have actually been attacked with RPGs... I fear that this war will only lead to another wave of black market military weapons in Europe. Of course some of these may end up in even worse hands than common criminals.
- simonblack 4y agoWhen there is no control over weapons, those weapons will come back and be used against the West as well as elsewhere. There will be Western aircraft that get blown out of the sky by American Stingers. Will there be any responsibility taken by the US MIC and politicians for those lost lives? Of course not.
- eveningcoffee 4y agoSo what is your proposed alternative? Watch hands down how Russia commits genocide in Ukraine?
- Mikeb85 4y agoAnd weapons have gone missing from the possession of US troops as well. Weapons sent to the Iraqis ended up in ISIS' hands... Ukraine is as trustworthy as anyone the US has given weapons to.
- eveningcoffee 4y agoExactly. It reads more like Russian propaganda than news and it has been already used as that.

- WheelsAtLarge 4y agoAccording to Wikipedia, "Ukraine ranked 122nd out of 180 countries in 2021, the second most corrupt in Europe, with Russia the most at 136." Enough said... But at this point there's really not much choice, so we pick the least painful at this point.
