Yes caller ID can be spoofed, but it’s not as easy as it used to be, and a lot of spam call appears to have moved to overseas numbers.
- d4mi3n 4y agoI do the same, but this falls apart if you are expecting calls from numbers not known to you and missing them is painful. Some examples of this could include the IRS, your health insurance company, or a busy doctor's office. That said, if you can get away with it I also find it to be pretty effective at avoiding interactions with fraudulent callers.
