"Anecdote" as in "joke"? Or some guy did it because he could not order the 3 chips he needed for a prototype? They may be buying something but it's not washing machines. There are 1-5 logic chips, 1-3 firmware/storage chips and 5-15 transistors for inverter motors in a washer. That's it.
