I swam between the Cyclades in Greece every autumn" doesnt strike me like someone struggling to cover emergency out of pocket.

  “For months I ate sugary treats left by visitors in that inattentive way we can have when our focus is elsewhere.” She should not put all the blame on “the many doctors” who failed her, and take some responsibility for the part played by her sugar addiction.

  It will settle. I had similar period of mystery pain 30 years ago. Dentist and Neurologist found no reason. I found out that Clove Oil takes most of the edge off, so no matter. Only recently the pain started again. But now I know what an inflamed root feels like and I can diagnose it better than any doctor. There was a bag of puss on that root, I could feel it from the outside. I made the dentist to open that channel and the puss just squirted out. Totally good tooth now.
