No it didn't. Cryptocurrency is not "sound money" in any way because it's not backed by anything, in the case of proof-of-work coins it's only "backed" by rando

No it didn't. Cryptocurrency is not "sound money" in any way because it's not backed by anything, in the case of proof-of-work coins it's only "backed" by random people solving random pointless math puzzles. Proof-of-stake is even worse because that's only backed by how much money people have already invested into the system.
