Lightning Network, Age 4
- PaulHoule 4y agoI'd like to read a good explanation of the lightning network but this isn't it.
- thinkmassive 4y agoThis is more of a summary of the state of the industry/ecosystem (a summary of a much larger annual research report) rather than a general explanation of “what is the Lightning Network” There’s an O’Reilly book, “Mastering the Lightning Network” https://github.com/lnbook/lnbook https://github.com/lnbook/lnbook What type of explanation are you seeking? I can try to provide some useful links
- PaulHoule 4y agoI'd like to understand the tech, the implications of it, how it impacts the industry. That article strikes me as hermetic, not really trying to speak to people who aren't already deeply involved.
- thinkmassive 4y agoWell yes, that's the intended audience of that article. If you want to understand the tech, Mastering the Lightning Network is an excellent resource, although it's obviously a heavy read. For something between the book and a wikipedia article, try Jameson Lopp's site, starting with the Getting Started section: https://www.lopp.net/lightning-information.html https://www.lopp.net/lightning-information.html
