  I agree, but Bovril is not made from yeast extract like Marmite is. So not really the same kind of product.

    Actually, it's over a quarter yeast extract. To be honest, having just checked, I think that's less than it was a while back, as I'm sure I recall being disappointed upon seeing the ingredients, and putting a jar back on the shelf after picking it up on a whim a while ago. I just stick to my stock pots in hot water... .
