I assume a large segment of users install Linux? How does the trackpad experience compare to macOS?
- pjerem 5y agoI think they just wouldn't have had the same press coverage in the tech press if they were selling a "Reparable Linux laptop" instead of a "Reparable laptop". For the general public, it's not obvious that an OS can be changed.
- nrp 5y agoWe ship the DIY Edition without an OS to let folks bring their preferred distro. We looked at doing a pre-built SKU with a Linux distro, but found that preference is fairly even among the top five or so most popular distros with a long tail of distros beyond that. We recently launched a Linux compatibility page to make it easier for folks to select a distro for their DIY Edition: https://frame.work/linux https://frame.work/linux
