Pixel 6 owners say their phones are automatically rejecting some incoming calls

- bjoli 4y agoI love my pixel 5a. It is an amazing phone for the money, and probably the best cheap phone you can get with a 3.5mm jack. But intermittently I am having weird issues. Some dropped calls (I think), but also some input problems with the screen locking for 2s whenever I accidentally activate the assistant. Worst of all is that it is incompatible with all 3.5mm headphones, seemingly by design. The volume up button opens the Google assistant or does nothing depending on whether the assistant is active. The problem is, according to the support, that they don't recommend 3.5mm headphones, which is probably the dumbest shit I have ever heard considering the phone has a 3.5mm jack. Someone made the decision to break every headphone with small control unit on the market and it got a green light. That stuff scares me. What will break next?
- frogperson 4y agoim having the same issue on my pixel 3a. I believe it is due to overly aggressive spam filtering. Turning all filters off helps some, but not fully. when some calls come in, they flash on the screen for a second and then hang up. no sound is made. its so frustrating that my phone wont phone. ill probably switch to apple since i have no idea how to make android ring 100% of the time.
