It’s my understanding that this was a former employee not acting in official capacity; who likely violated their NDA.
- ghostpepper 5y agoThis still reflects poorly on Twitter infosec if they’re not offboarding users with that kind of access immediately upon their ceasing to be employed by Twitter.
- cmckn 5y agoThis was not a case of inappropriate access. This employee learned the identity of the account holder while working at Twitter. They later left the company. You can't erase confidential information from people's memory during "offboarding". That's where the NDA comes in.
