"Libs of TikTok" is a far-right hate account that directs harassment toward LGBT+ people, often teachers. The harassment often includes death threats and has resulted in some teachers being fired [0]. Libs of TikTok often participates in the harassment by, for example, specifying what school district a person in the video works for [1], or by calling for "any teacher who utters the words 'I came out to my students' [to] be fired on the spot" [2]. The account has also been credited with helping repopularize the homophobic trope of equating LGBT+ people with pedophiles [3]. The account has become highly influential in anti-LGBT+ circles, for example being cited by the press secretary of Ron DeSantis, noted proponent of Florida House Bill 1557, also called the "Don't Say Gay" bill [4]. Its creator has had interviews on Fox News, which often does news segments on the account's content [6]. Finally, regarding the "doxxing" accusation, I feel this tweet summarizes my thoughts on that: > "I completely agree there needs to be a high bar for reporting about someone anonymous.
