- colinmhayes 4y agoThis is an op-ed. This "NYT tries to arbitrate truth" trope is so tired, especially when it's usually used on opinion pieces.
- vmladenov 4y agoIt’s also the opinion of a linguistics professor at Columbia, so this really is just someone opining on his field, not making an autoritative declaration. And he probably didn’t write the headline. People need to stop looking so much at which brand is publishing something and focus on the byline.
