Volla Phone 22 runs Ubuntu Touch or a privacy-focused Android fork or both
- Panino 5y ago> It also supports multi-boot functionality, allowing you to install more than one operating system and choose which to run at startup. That's cool! Although I don't personally multiboot, I love the idea of phones moving to close the gap with regular computers in terms of potential and functionality. I hope Ubuntu Touch (one of the supported operating systems) grows and it encourages other operating systems like OpenBSD to support phones as well. In the future it would be so cool to connect a full keyboard to a phone, write code in vi, cast the screen to a TV. Or connect a mouse and do some graphics work with GIMP. Then unplug and keep using it as a phone for calls and texts. There's no reason that new phones can't be used as general purpose computers - just think of them as sort of a Raspberry Pi with a cellular modem and an attached touchscreen. Today's phones are pretty powerful and we should dream big about how we can use them in new and interesting ways.

My current device has 8GB, I've never topped it, but 6GB would put me at ease. Either way, I'll definitely participate in the croudfunding.
