Regarding the question about components, not sure if I understand. I found out all about Appwrite and its services from documentation on appwrite.io

- Meldiron 4y agoUnder the hood? I believe MariaDB, but thankfully, I never had to write a single SQL query. I used Appwrite SDK to do operations like db.getDocument, db.listDocuments, db.createDocument...
- TicklishTiger 4y agoIf you don't care for which components Appwrite uses, that means you bet on Appwrite being around forever? Most technologies come and go. So when Appwrite goes away, your applications will fall apart?
