Yes, this is a political move to appeal to the electorate for window dressing and not based on merits or practical and well-thought considerations.

- mig39 4y agoIf it's for political reasons, then why only two years? Voters won't be going to the ballot box for another 4 years or so.
- FerociousTimes 4y agoIt can be extended for more years, it could be the result of a political compromise. “If you like laws and sausages, you should never watch either one being made.”
