I've stopped using hand sanitizer and just wash my hands. Soap and water is probably just as effective. I just don't see the need to bathe my hands in chemicals. I remember the early COVID days and there was so much we didn't know. People being people, will latch onto any task or ritual to make themselves feel protected, and hand sanitizing is the manifestation of that cargo cult mentality.
