This war shows that we can't make trade wit Russia as it is unable to exist peacefully with other countries. Complete isolation (preferable demilitarization but that is not possible until they have nukes) and just wait until it falls down again.
- HKH2 5y ago> it is unable to exist peacefully with other countries. Have you heard of the US? It is that country that keeps starting fights to maintain the petrodollar so they can print money out of thin air. They have shown that you can commit numerous crimes and still be seen as the good guys. They can even do colonization in the 21st century without anyone blinking an eyelid. Russia certainly needs to work on their PR.
- trasz 5y agoThe fact that we can’t fight one offender doesn’t mean we shouldn’t fight any of them.
- HKH2 5y agoSo you want to give more power to the one offender you can't fight?
- krzyk 5y agoHow this is giving power to US? Destroying Russia dictatorship is good for everyone, even poor Russians that can't even show a blank piece of paper.
- HKH2 5y agoIf it weren't for the Russians, the Middle East would be in a bigger mess now. Russia has helped Syria defend itself, along with other countries in the region. I can't see any moral good in arming extremist rebels and letting countries devolve into chaos. Maybe one day America will get a taste of its own medicine.
- krzyk 5y agoSeriously, Russia is and was always at least order of magnitude higher level bad guy than US.
- petre 5y agoDunno, the US pacified Germany and Japan w/o totally destroying them and deporting people to Siberia like Russia does. I'd pick US hegemony over Russia's anytime, thank you. Russians only ”solve” problems with violence, huge massacres and war crimes. Human life has no price for Russian dictators. Russia is not a democracy, it is a feudal state and feudalism has no place in the 21st century. This quote straight from general Aleksandr Lebed illustrates how Russia handles things: "I told the hooligans [separatists] in Tiraspol and the fascists in Chișinău – either you stop killing each other, or else I'll shoot the whole lot of you with my tanks"
- HKH2 5y ago> Dunno, the US pacified Germany and Japan w/o totally destroying them and deporting people to Siberia like Russia does. So you pick examples from more than 70 years ago. That's how good American PR is. > I'd pick US hegemony over Russia's anytime, thank you. Would you prefer being deported to Siberia or blown apart by a drone? > Russians only ”solve” problems with violence, huge massacres and war crimes. Yet in the current war in Ukraine they are portrayed as being weak for not carpet bombing like the US would in one of their 'peace-keeping' missions. > Human life has no price for Russian dictators. If you believe the narrative that the recent US wars in the Middle East were about setting up democracies, then they have completely failed and led to the needless loss of millions of lives. I'm not convinced human life has a price for American presidents, but I guess they say that it does, so it must be true.
- petre 5y agoYes, the US has failed to set up democracies in the Middle East and North Africa. The loss of millions of lifes, however, is mainly the doing of ISIL, Russia, who reduced Aleppo to rubble, just like Grozny and also other factions. The US isn't doing carpet bombing anymore or turning entire cities to rubble or throwing napalm and Agent Orange from airplanes. The effects of a recent US war can be seen in Serbia.
- medo-bear 5y agoyeah they also stopped dropping nuclear bombs on japan. two was enough i guess > The effects of a recent US war can be seen in Serbia you mean the child cancer cases as a result of using depleted uranium during bombing campaign which was aimed at the country's economic infrastructure and TV stations ... and Chinese embasy ?
