I don't think any politician or really very many people at all have really built a career on cessation. The reason they are trying to ban vaping is because the health effects are still not well understood. There is also the fact that many people who never smoked are getting into vaping and becoming addicted to the nicotine all the same. Not as bad as cigarettes, but not a healthy habit either.
