It doesn't matter if its powered by electricity, gasoline, coal, fusion energy, or pixie dust; individual traffic was, is and always will be less efficient, more expensive and scale worse than well-made public transport systems.
No, we should not get completely rid of individual traffic. Yes, there are instances where there isn't another way.
But not everyone lives in far away rural communities, or has to transport hundreds of kg of goods on a daily basis.
Many many many many many people live in cities or city-like communities, where it would make alot more sense to build better public transport infrastructure, than waste mountains of money so we can sacrifice even more public space to roads and parking lots.
