- jrochkind1 5y agoOK, you can disagree with the assignment of responsibility from OP (I'm happy to blame the politicians), either way that's the alternative we don't have but most similar countries do.
- missedthecue 5y agoPerhaps the tax system in the US is far more complicated in than it is in foreign countries. I am trained in UK tax law, but not in US law, although I do file taxes in the US. The UK system is far more straightforward than in the States. On account of this, the US tax system may not lend itself well to automatic pre-filing.
