works great for Rust and Elixir in my experience, granted those languages have very forgiving installation processes. i use GitPod on my iPad and Linux machines for misc. editing projects outside of my main machine. ex. i was on vacation visiting my twin for a week and left my daily driver at home to wind down -> got a gh notification about a bug and released a PR on my sister's computer within a couple hours.
