"Workers told The Post that wages hadn't kept up with inflation and some managers were unaccountable."
so for the record as of late, twenty Starbucks stores have now unionized and around 220 Starbucks stores have sought elections. Alphabet has had an 800 employee union for nearly two years, and if labor is to be believed, there are nearly a hundred Amazon warehouses looking to form a union. Tesla remains actively embroiled in a fifth circuit appeal for illegal retaliation, but if i were a gambling man Id see the texas plant as a hopeful effort to avoid union talk entirely. It might not pay dividends though, as a lot of the union effort is being powered by inflation lodged against burnt out workers forced to perform through a global pandemic with no real recognition outside a handful of commercials and billboards.
offtopic but bears repeating: Amazons 5% inflation fee should be called exactly what it is: a slush fund to buffer shareholders for q4 losses due to negotiation with their new unions benefits and pay demands.
