If you have skin problems, there is a book called Beyond Soap by Sandy Skotnicki that runs down how to determine whether soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc. are causing dermatological problems.
A big takeaway is that virtually anything can cause irritation, including "natural" products that many of us assume are safe because they come from a plant.
She's got a long list of products that she approves of if you're trying to self-diagnose an allergy or reaction.
- aitchnyu 4y agoMe and my wife are allergic to dust mites and mold and try to eliminate them, and we have an air purifier in the bedroom. But I'm trying to find what inflames my nasal passages and generates mucus (wife's having it slightly worse). Is there a similar experiment guide for this?
