Crypto Gaming Landlords Mad Players They Exploited Now Quitting
- ivraatiems 4y agoHow is this a "game"? It just sounds like a Ponzi scheme with extra steps.
- coolhoody 4y agoIdea: Crypto Rubik Cube. Everyone gets smart, sudden worldwide peace.
- asasidh 4y agoPlay to earn is a depressing dystopian concept.
- qualudeheart 4y agoCan Elon do something about this?
- dragontamer 4y agoWhat do you expect Elon to do? Tweet more about DOGEcoin and pump/dump other cryptocoins? Or was it Shibu he was pumping last time? Hard to keep track of what he pushes.
- qualudeheart 4y agoHe could launch a hostile takeover. The obvious most effective tactic.
- satori99 4y ago> the game revolves around collecting, breeding, and battling cartoon characters called Axies, which are NFTs that exist on the Ethereum blockchain. Players can use their Axies to farm a currency called Smooth Love Potion (SLP) which is used to breed and create more Axies. Both the Axies and SLP can be sold on the open market for real money. Everything about this is just wild -- like we are already living in some dystopian cyber-punk novel.
- anm89 4y agoI hate Axie and think it's the biggest scheme of our time to milk addictions and money out of poor people in developing countries but this article is still garbage and shouldn't be on here.
- yunohn 4y ago> this article is still garbage and shouldn't be on here The article seemed very well researched and straightforward to me, given my previous understanding of both Axie and the hack. Maybe you could explain what’s wrong?
- Lutzb 4y agoOne point that I see rarely mentioned in analysis of NFT games is that in my experience every game has some kind of player engagement half-life. After a while the games get stale, new twists, takes on the original premise of the game are necessary to engage the player. Attrition is the consequence and most often other games from other companies innovate where the original failed to innovate. It is beyond me why I would spend more real money on these games, than let's say a classic boxed game. But maybe I am getting old.
- antifa 4y agoIt's not just "more money", it's something like at least $500 for three starter monsters.
