“ Changing characters’ genders and ethnicities is a must for modern times—there were virtually no female characters in Asimov’s early books—and, of course, it doesn’t affect the story in the slightest.”
The fact that this is thrown out like it’s just objective truth makes me sad. When do we get beyond this? When do we get back to it being about the story and not about us?
- darthrupert 4y agoI also wonder when we are going to move beyond being so amazingly dramatic about contemporary artistic decisions in films and art in general.
