A Twitter takeover would be a global headache for Elon Musk
- incomingpain 5y agoI feel like Musk understands this and it's not even a problem at all. The political battle and why there's so much resistance is almost entirely existing within the USA. I was flagged in my previous comment where I explained why this is the case. Why indeed does nobody want to own twitter? It's basically undefended against a takeover. There's a private owner of twitter and they are huge. Much much bigger and wealthier than Musk. >Musk wrote, “and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy.” This has been known for hundreds of years. There's a reason why political polarization is extreme right now. Why the right-wing is urgently trying to build alternatives that don't censor them. Peace can be kept temporarily by force but to make it permanent you must use diplomacy and understanding. Right now, the USA's peace is being temporarily held together by force.
