This was always my biggest area of concern with the Steam Deck - the fan noise and how annoying it would be to those around you if you wanted to use it in public settings. I feel myself paying a premium for quieter devices lately: Noctua fans for my desktop PC and an Apple Silicon Macbook Pro. It's nice to not always have to wear headphones to drown out the noise.
