The article says the speed of the capsule was increased to 24,229 miles per hour, for the 3 day coast to the moon, but the moon is only (approx) 250,000 miles away. The trajectory was elliptical, so the distance wouldn't be significantly larger. 24,229 mph only takes 10 hours or so to do 250,000 miles. Is the speed number incorrect? If not, what don't I understand?
