Yesterday was a flagship day in corporate media

- quantified 5y agoThe qualities described are valid, but corporate media has never been free speech. Tell me Hearst published all aspects of all stories fearlessly. Parler doesn’t allow free speech either. And of course, most non-corporate media, like religious broadcasts or services, are pretty intolerant of most viewpoints. You can oppose Musk taking over Twitter because he’s got all the maturity of a dude that would call a Thai Navy diver a pedo after rescuing kids from a flooded cave. He’s not interested in “free speech” either, just more Musk speech. Edit: maybe this explains it [https://www.wsj.com/articles/meet-the-twitter-army-of-elon-musk-superfans-11650137427 https://www.wsj.com/articles/meet-the-twitter-army-of-elon-m...]
- SaulJLH 5y agoHe didn't call a Thai navy diver that, he called a British expat diving expert that, & the guy was/is quite the douche. That doesn't excuse Elon's handling of it all, he eventually took things too far (but did win the court case brought against him by the expat, which levelled ridiculous claims).
- ehvatum 5y ago> He’s not interested in “free speech” either, just more Musk speech. That’s really quite demented. Obviously, the real concern is that he would unban Trump.
