Thanks for sharing this. Why do more companies not follow this philosophy? Perhaps one advantage for Netflix is that they’re largely a one-trick pony. They don’t have 20+ products fighting for attention and engineers within the company.

My take is that that philosophy needs a system, or culture if you will, to support it. Not every company has such supporting culture.
