I would rank that pretty low on my list of things to worry about a search engine doing. Actually, to me, that would be relatively fair in terms of monetization of a search engine product. I would turn the feature on if asked by a reputable and well-meaning company. Especially in the case of a search engine seeing as they are providing the link afterall.
