- bediger4000 4y agoBecause there's a good deal of money in it, and therefore the industry can afford lobbyists. There's going to be even more money in it after 2024, I bet.
- mr90210 4y ago35k a year per prisoner??? Had the US invested wisely such amount on their youths, they would have got more educated people, thus decreasing the chances of becoming criminals. What do I know anyway.
