There are some alternative "conspiracy" theories about what the Shanghai lockdowns are really about:
- 1) It's a disguised embargo on delivering goods to western countries to worsen inflation and supply chain issues to cause wreck in our economies
- 2) It's policing on the Shanghai population because it was too westernized
- pseingatl 5y agoOr perhaps they know something we don't: China has a bioweapons program. The initial lockdown in Wuhan came from the very top. There was no similar reaction to SARS or MERS. The fact that a comprehensive lockdown was ordered in Shanghai means one thing only: the leadership is afraid.
