Seriously. I opened the comments section (I don't read the article unless the comments seem excited about it. Life is too short), and I expected people to be talking about how K8s and cloud is so complicated. I'd have been super interested in a story about how to achieve vertical scalability. My company expects us back at work 3 days a week. I go 2 days. I'm partially deaf and I do badly with social cues. I don't want to socialize with my colleagues. I'd rather work from home and cuddle my cats and dog when I'm taking a break. I love them more than I like people I work with, irrespective of which company I'm at. I'm waiting to shift to a completely remote company one day. My employer doesn't have to give me a social life they deem fit. Pay me and I'll make friends outside of work.
