This is great news but i wish there was a solution for congenital hearing loss. I'm starting to believe it will never happen and it makes me so sad.

- janeerie 4y agoSo true. My son was born with severe hearing loss, and for 5 years we have heard treatment was on the horizon. His hearing has now declined to the point where he needs a cochlear implant, and I worry that if we do that and a treatment is eventually developed, he might not benefit from it. However, I think it would be foolish to wait. Gene therapy seems like the only hope, and I don't think there have been great developments in that area.
