Thanks for your insight. The distinction between data science and analytics seems very fuzzy to me. Plenty of “data science” certificates and degrees teach mainly the skills that you listed as belonging to an analyst. It’s rare to expect an analyst to know about machine learning, but otherwise I haven’t seen a consistent difference in definition.

Yes it's fuzzy. Given the chance I'd recommend that you speak to someone in the team to know more about what they are working on. From my experience DS teams in "modern internet" companies are doing some interesting things.
