If you are interested in the field, almost everything written by Richard M. Ogorkiewicz will be a worthwhile read. He was THE go-to compiler of military engineering information in the 80s and 90s. While the technologies he describes are a bit dated, his presentation is very comprehensive. Only problem is that many of his works are out of print.
