Poland is a post-Soviet country, and its quality of life is incomparably better than during Soviet times. Also the life quality in Ukraine exceeds this of Russia. I believe the main problem here is Russians’ delusion that they are still an empire. War against Ukraine might help in dispelling this myth. Also: the sooner Russians realize that they need to flee the country - because it won’t get any better during their lifetimes - the better.
