Salary negotiation? If you're taking on that much accountability, you should be discussing a promotion. If they won't give you it, it sounds like you're in a good position to look elsewhere for a more senior position (with the salary that would come with it).
- bmj 4y agoPart of this discussion should be asking your boss what, exactly, are the requirements are for the next position up the ladder. Use your work on the current project to determine if you, in fact, could reasonably ask for a promotion.
- yuppie_scum 4y agoYes, the tactful way to discuss this is in terms of seeking a promotion with commensurate increase in compensation for added responsibility.
